The Plan

The plan for this adventure is to venture into the stunning mountains of Ladakh, India and explore this intriguing region.

Landing in Leh, you will instantly feel the effects of being at almost 3000m above sea level. Take it  easy for the first 2 days acclimatising and getting a feel for this ancient city.

The Markha Valley is a trekkers paradise. The group will trek from village to village staying in locally-owned teahouses. You'll be trekking for typically 6 hours per day gradually gaining altitude up to the famous Kongmaru La pass at 5200m. Crossing here will literally be the high point of your trip! While challenging, this is what makes it so much more rewarding and don't forget you'll be supported by our guiding team and porters!

After the trekking phase, we'll visit the Thiksey, Hemis and Shey monasteries for further insight to this regions culture.
